Emeritus Professor of Psychology, University of Bradford, UK
Professor of Psychology, with a specialization in cognitive development. He completed his degrees at the University of Liverpool and has held academic positions at Birmingham, Swansea, Nottingham, McGill, Oxford, and Warwick. He served as Head of the School of Psychology at Nottingham (UK) and later as founding Head of Psychology and Dean of Science at its Malaysia campus.
He has played leading roles within the British Psychological Society, including as Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Psychology and current Chair of the Developmental Section. He has also worked extensively with the ESRC, serving on multiple national panels and securing nine ESRC research grants to date.
His work reflects a strong commitment to education and student engagement, including authorship of Fundamentals of Developmental Psychology and research into mobile-assisted learning.
